Default Adding a link to "My Documents"

Hi there,

I've noticed that when uploading items from my computer that I tend to use "My Documents" a lot and have had to select another folder and scroll down to a shortcut I made.

I'm not quite sure how it's disappeared as I was sure there was a direct link to My Documents within the upload file window. Is there a way of changing one of the icons I don't use to My Documents or will I simply have to keep going to the shortcut?

Can you explain that a bit more for me?
I don't know whether its the early morning or not but I'm not quite grasping the concept.

Those are the lines that are confusing me a bit

Ah, yeah I didn't think I'd explained that very well lol. Was a late night for me last night so my brain hasn't woken up yet. Below are a couple of screenshots to hopefully explain what I mean .

I think I've realised now what's happened. The first picture is what it seems to have changed to but only on certain websites, such as my blogging tool Wordpress. However, strangely, on this website it appears with the second picture's upload window.

Is there a way of changing this setting so that all my upload windows have the "Favourite Links"?

Oh i see what you mean now

I may be wrong, so another user will have to clarify but I think that the upload Window is website specific i.e it depends how that particular site has set-up the upload Window.

Specifically if you notice on our upload window its OS/Vista based i.e using the native theme but on the other link without the favourite bar it's set-up with a different set-up in mind.

I don't believe there is a way of changing this without re scripting the sites upload tool which obviously you can't just go in and do so I'm afraid at this point I don't think it's possible.

However like I say I could well be wrong (becaue programming and web isnt my area) so await another reply before becoming dis- heartened.

Easiest work around I can think of is to open and copy the following folder/link to your desktop"

C:\Users\Andrew\Favorites

- then you are always just 1 click away.

Ah yeah, didn't think of that . Been working with Vista for 2 years and I still don't know the basics it seems!

And Bobbye, I was looking to change the link when I save or upload via the web. However, the system seems to be the same within Adobe CS3 Suite which is a bit odd since I thought that came out around the same time as Vista?

Anyway, thanks for the tip Blind Dragon, problem solved
