Nope, no problems at all. I've been using the computer for a couple of hours now with only the working 2 sticks of RAM in and it's fine.

However, I am still a little concerned about the missing system files. Is that anything to worry about after the tests we've been through?

No its fine.

It wasn't that they were missing its just that they at one point in time cause the system to crash, usually they themselves just stall and cause the system to come to a standstill .

However the SFC scvan would have come back with results if there was anything broken or missing so it seems in your case your system is running smooth and it was a RAM issue

Ah okay, thanks .

Yeah that's what I thought, the SFC test should have picked something up if there was some more seriously wrong.

I have noticed as well that my computer no longer beeps when carrying out tasks which may put it to the test like exporting DVDs from Premiere Pro to Encore. This was something it really struggled with and quite often it would Blue Screen and reset. However, sometimes it wouldn't which always puzzled me. Is it likely that this was down to the RAM issue as well?

Im not sure on that one entirely. I know some boards have a second what we call "POST beep" that will tell the user when a diagnosis has been carried out and failed. I know some ASUS board's do but its unusual that it does this for RAM as there are many operations that could be regarded as failures.

If it starts to beep again then that's an area for investigation but as it's stopped it probably was down to the RAM and failure. At least now its stable and working so lets not fix something thats not broken....yet

Haha okay thanks a lot for your help with this problem . Hopefully I'll be able to get a refund/replacement on the RAM since it's got a lifetime guarantee on it.

Anyway, thanks again!
