Default Password problem

I just did a factory restore on my Dell Studio 1555, and I must have typed the password incorrectly when I was creating a profile. Now I can't do anything with my computer because I'm locked out. Is there anyway to get around the login screen? Or to reset the password?

Additional Details:
- Windows Vista Home Premium
- I'm the only profile on the computer.

boot into Safe Mode using F8 (the black VGA screen from the BIOS will progress until the beep; while it does, tap F8 ~1/sec)
a choice menu will appear where the TOP line is SAFE MODE

select that and you will get a login for the session as

* Administrator
* whateverYourIdIs
choose the Admin

you should soon get a desktop where you can go to
Control Panel->Users->Change User
click your ID
click change password

I used safe mode, but I only get the option to log into my profile.
