| There seems to have been a problem on one of the hops from east coast to west coast USA. The issue has not been fixed as of noon, and connections are still intermittent. I ran a tracert to tech-101 and you can see the connection timed out after hopping to the west coast. The first is google.com, then the second is tech-101 while the connection was down. After running more tracerts it seems the problem is still not fixed and doesn't appear to have gotten better - coming back only temporarily. | [Unconfirmed] I heard that there was a momentary packet jam in a northern Virginia hub... Momentary I guess = 4 hours This doesn't sound right. But who knows.

| I'll do the tracert if it happens again. Duh! Why didn't I think of that earlier?! So far, moving okay.

Yep, me too. I do the tracert and connect in 13 hops. Next time I try, get the error message. It's shaping up to be one of "those" days!Wow! Just tried to open the Smiley extras and timed out!

| I am stuck with them too. I have no other good options here in Hernando County. [Update] 10 hours later and I am still disconnecting every so often. I wish they had their own forum for discussing what exactly is going on. But, from what I have read of past complaints they aren't very open about the issues that they have

| I finally got off- got tired of losing things! It's been okay tonight, but I'm not on for long. No, I have never heard anyone from Brighthouse acknowledge their issues. They are always fine, must be me or the wires or most anything else. The 'speed' is a joke! I have never gotten the 15mbps I'm paying for. The only bandwidth test site that occasionally shows 12mbps is the one BH uses. Other site, even routing through Atlanta for their server, are usually closer to 4mbps. I see them now advertising for 'wideband' RR Lightening> $15 more. wonder if anyone gets even close to that!

| I was just reviewing some old email I've sent to Bright House about their lack of providing the 'speed' for which I am paying. It just goes on, starting with 5mbps, then 10, now 15 that I'm paying for. They are now advertising for 'lightening speed' up to 40 mbps! Well excuse me but if they can give that, why don't I get what I pay for! Checking the broadband speed is a farce! If I use Speedtest that they use to use with server out of Atlanta, I get closer to what I am actually experiencing. But when I use the one they say is the one I should use, magically the numbers turn out to be closer to what I am suppose to be getting. I probably said that already! I called them in one email on that, saying in essence, that it was rigged- because of all the broadband tests I could use, none showed speeds anywhere near what I should get> except theirs! Funny thing was that I didn't get reply.
