Some Notes on Virus and Malware Removal

First; Make sure you have the need to post in the forum; Many times we see problems on our computers
which have their origins of other than Malware, eg: misconfiguration, web browser add-ons, bad web sites
and even user mistakes. Try to find the forum that fits the problem/symptom and post your comments there.
If we believe you need assistance with VMR, we will reference the

Second: VMR is a real art and not a science -- it takes a lot of experience to find what has
happened and the means to remove it from your system. Tech-101.com is staffed by persons
volunteering their personal time and it may take a bit for your issue to be analyzed and the responses
to be posted publicly. What we known today becomes out dated tomorrow as Virus' and Trojans are always a moving target --
we even apply the term evolved to a computer worm or virus that mutates over time.

Third; Please understand that our combined experience has taught us that there are dangers in using certain programs or types of programs, so we may advise you of this and suggest that you uninstall them. We respect the fact that you may have purchased the license to run the program and consider that in our recommendation. The decision to keep software or remove it will be yours. But we reserve the right to discontinue support if that decision presents a clear and present danger to the system we are trying to help you clean.
