Typosquating is where you type in a URL, cause a typo and you land entirely somewhere else.
The big nasty here is the villans have registered a polithera of the url variations and sit there waiting
for your typo. Typically you will access a posion-pill and get infected.

I did this just today attemtping to access CRAIGSLIST.ORG and typed the dot.COM variation by mistake
(Please don't test this just for FUN!!! ). Fortunately, Avast! with the Web Shield active caught the error,
terminated the connection to the bogus site and popped-up an error box.
