Hey teak,

The latest driver was released in January - your is from a few months back, but I believe there have been many changes to version 10.1

Complete in order

Copy and paste this to notepad and save it to your Desktop so that you can have while offline

1) What PSU (power supply unit) do you have? Looking at your specs plus video card, you will drink a lot of juice especially when launching a game like CODMW2. If you don't know you can open the case and there should be a sticker somewhere on it - I am wanted to know the wattage - example would be 500W or 750W.

2) Visit http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_ca...indows-7-64bit
Download the latest driver from AMD to your Desktop (i say desktop so that it's easy to find) by clicking the download button


3) After it is downloaded to your Desktop, Disconnect from the internet

4) Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features ->
At the top of the list you should see some AMD/ATI entries. Select the entry entitled AMD or ATI Software Uninstall Utility, and click Change/Remove.
(NOTE: If not there you can right click your video card from device manager)

5) You will be prompted to restart your system once the uninstall is complete.

6) The screen will probably look awful without the drivers installed when the computer boots back up. Once restarted, check the Programs and Features List through control panel again for any remaining ATI/AMD video card related software. If any ATI software is still listed, click Change/Remove on those entries to uninstall each one individually. Also check programs and features for a program called DOA if there remove it.

7) Double-click on the downloaded driver file (like i said easy to use the Desktop). Click Run/Allow -> Use the default directory for extracting the files and press the Install button.

8)
  • Click Next on the first install screen.
  • Click Yes to the License agreement.
  • Click the Custom button.
  • Select the driver, catalyst control center (if wanted) and uncheck the box for steam
  • The installer will start to load the display driver first.
  • A dialog box will indicate the install progress.
9) Afterwords, click Finish which should restart your computer.

10) Go to Start-> Control Panel-> Device manager-> Expand Display Adapter -> Highlight Your Card -> At the top under Action -> Update Driver Software... -> Select Browse my computer...



11) At the next screen click Browse and navigate to the driver
which should be C:\ATI\Driver Folder\Driver



12) After you locate the driver - select ok

13) After the new driver has been installed - and you have told device manager where to locate the new driver. You can re-connect to the internet.

Also if you downloaded the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) You should be able to launch it now and control your advanced settings for the card.

14) Test game and let me know.

Hey, i installed everything and it still didnt work, my PSU is 500W, by the way, the game was working fine untill about a week ago.
any ideas on how to fix it?
