Default Browser Benchmark

Very interesting test for your browser(s). If you like I have more than one browser, this benchmark may well get you to drop the emotional XYZ is better in favor of an objective raw performance test in your environment,
eg: your {Processor, OS, memory, HD and ISP bandwidth} as they exist.

Mine was insightful, FF 3.5.9 got a score of 904 while Opera 10.53 received 1720!

I skipped Chrome as I didn't have it installed already. Out of FF, Opera, and IE8 - Opera clearly performed best:

The fastest browsers at the moment are Opera & Chrome but in the real world usability is more important than raw speed . Chrome is just too basic at the moment & its a lot slower than Opera opening tabs.
Opera is my favorite because its great in full screen mode, F11 to go full screen , F2 to enter a search or address, F4 toggles the panels & Ctrl Tab cycles through your tabs.
