Default Recommendation for a good headset?

Well, I got the refund for the last headset I bought which was $18 off ebay. My question to you all is what is a good headset that I can buy that meets these specifications:

  • Under $20 but not too cheap
  • Good for gaming
  • Suitable/compatible with client messengers such as MSN, AIM, yahoo, and Skype
  • Good in audio input/output
Any recommendations?

Hi again,

I have had quick look around and have found a couple of alternatives for you.
With your entry range you have a limited number of options available.

Both are from logitec as they have a good lower bracket range. The first being This headset
Its an average headset for the price with good pickup. But for me there have been to many negative reviews.

I feel this headset is better. Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset has some good reviews for what seems like a good price. There are some bad reviews there but its your choice.

I will keep checking but your budget won't allow for a great headset

What is the average budget for a decent headset?

Also, is there a good headset that is USB powered?

If you can up your budget just a little bit then you can get some better quality headphones.

This Headset for example is just a little bit above your budget but better quality.
Also USB powered.

Or This Model is a higher quality logitech model again USB powered.

However you could really push the boat out and get This Headset. Got one for my virthday and tis the best buy I've ever made. However it is price and its not USB.

Just to check you are in the US aren't you?

Those look great - I got these recently and am very happy with the sound and voice qualities. http://www.google.com/products/catal...m=5#ps-sellers

Looks to be about the same price - the jWin set has a better look to them, which doesn't always mean better quality - but who knows I haven't tried the jWin set before

That's the same headset I just bought and whose microphone doesn't work on my computer (see my other thread) so I made this thread looking for a better headset

Do you have Vista or XP?
